It is with deep regret that I inform you that Lionel Merrett has passed on (Thursday the 26th of April 2012.)
Funeral is to be held in Bordertown Lutheran Church on Thursday 3rd of May 2012 at 10AM. (SA time)
As most of you know, Lionel devoted much of his time for many years researching the descendants of William & Mary Merrett & was largely responsible for most of the information on this website.

WELCOME to the MERRETT website....
There are several pages of general history referring to the migration to & settlement of William & Mary in Australia as well as a very comprehensive, searchable Merrett Family Tree.
The following pages are a record of the very early days of the Merrett's (above) migrating to Australia and then details of where they settled and raised their family.
There is section devoted to the early days of Leeor and Serviceton Districts where much of their early settlement took place.
The majority of this website consists of the "Merrett Family Tree", which concentrates on the descendents of the above couple. This "tree" is a live interactive site that can be continually added to, and therefore will be up todate for many years to come.
If you feel that you have some information to contribute to this project, then feel free to submit it to me so it can be added to the records. If you have photos, letters or any other relevent information that might be of interest, please contact me. (PLEASE!!!)
